“ What an amazing spot in Livingston County! We recently moved from Italy, the pasta and sauces were amazing in the seasonal scallop dish. I highly suggest the Blood Orange Mojito & the Horse Manhattan. We completed the meal with Moose Tracks, perfect ending for a great meal. Make sure you book ahead. Can’t wait to return. ”
“ Food was great, the blackened grouper was delicious. The desserts were amazing as well! A little buggy outside at night so come prepared with long sleeves if you sit outside! But still a very pretty setting along the trees. ”
“ It’s nice to have a place in Pinckney that focuses on quality cocktails and something other than bar food! While their main entrees are a little pricey, options for appetizers, salads, pizza, and sandwiches were all reasonably priced. The bread service was probably one of the better breads I’ve had at a restaurant, and I was impressed by the pink pony cocktail. We had a few hiccups due to the restaurant still being new, but it was not a huge problem. Highly recommend making reservations if going on a weekend evening. ”
“ This place shows a lot of promise! I would definitely go back, especially for happy hour to have bread, pizza, and cocktails. It's an interesting, rural atmosphere and there's not really another place like it in the area. We tried the Black Stallion Manhattan and Pink Pony cocktails and they were both very well executed. (There are dessert cocktails that arent on the menu, including an espresso martini. See my pic for the list. I suggest they add these to the regular cocktail list because i wouldve ordered a "dessert" cocktail before dinner if given the option). The bread appetizer is extremely fresh and is some of the best restaurant bread I've had. I also recommend the hot honey pizza. The grouper sandwich was good but a bit bland. I would recommend getting the grouper blackened instead. Everything was slow from service to drink orders to food. They are definitely understaffed but hopefully this is a temporary problem because they are new. If you're in a rush, I would wait a few weeks to try this place. They aim to please, however, and compensated us for our long wait time. The servers are all very polite and accommodating, they just need more of them! ”
“ Neat spot, horsefeather flat bread is delicious, spin dip and fresh bread was amazing, and blackened grouper Ruben I would order again. Service and drinks by Marissa was fantastic and the featured strawberry shortcake dessert was the perfect ending. We'll be back ”
“ Have been to Horse Feathers a few times and will many more times. Everything here is fantastic. If you're lucky enuf to get Marrisa as a server, you will be well taken care of. Her grasp of how to treat customers is second only to her friendliness. The whole place gives off that vibe. One of the best atmospheres ever. ”
“ 5- Experience!!! We had been awaiting our 1st experience at HorseFeathers for a long time and had high expectations. The wait was well worth it. Everything about our dinner was on point; from the moment we pulled into the beautiful property, to the great and thoughtful staff, and our phenomenal food. The bread service with 3 condiments at your disposal was excellent. The wine list is expansive and well chosen over and their Outlaw Old Fashioned was the best I’d had in a while, so I had to get 2! The herbed crusted chicken & roasted veggies were to die for. My Wife got the 12oz Filet Mignon and it was mouth watering - exactly what your highest expectations are for a filet! Perfectly cooked to order and beautifully displayed with mashed garlic potatoes and asparagus. To top it all off we hit the dessert menu for their gourmet skillet chocolate chip cookie & ice cream and it was delicious... woke up today thinking about it. Little to say, all of our high expectations were met and we can’t recommend HorseFeathers enough and are spreading the word. Pinckney/Howell and Livingston County are in GREAT hands here for fine dining. We’ll be back soon and we’re bringing friends and family! ”
“ Loved the food and the service could not have been better. Lyndsey offered wonderful suggestions and we felt completely spoiled by all of the staff that attended us. The croquettes were the perfect start. I could have just had those for dinner and been happy. I ordered the Prime Rib Raviolo and it was delicious, but my husband ordered the French Onion Burger and it was perfection! I was so in love I gave that burger looks I usually save for my husband. To quote my friend, "I have never seen you look hotter than when you were eating that burger". True love is trading your food with your wife when you have the better entree. My friend enjoyed her Grouper with Mango salsa and coconut rice. The bite I had of the fish was lovely. The shining star of dessert was the Key Lime Pie. It was the best I ever tasted. The creme brulee was good but not extraordinary. The cookie with ice cream and salted caramel was really good but slightly overbaked for my personal taste. Overall it was a lovely experience and we will be back. 4 drinks, 2 entrees and a dessert were 114. We had no trouble being seated on a Wednesday evening but I would recommend reservations if going during more popular times. ”
